Notice of 2026 MABRA Annual Meeting, Election, and Call for Volunteers
November 25, 2025
The MABRA Annual Meeting will be held on January 11 from 2-5pm at the Jane E. Lawton Community Center in Chevy Chase, MD (same location as last year). All members of the MABRA community are encouraged to attend and participate! However, we especially request attendance from (a) leaders of member clubs or their designates and (b) race directors for MABRA events. The preliminary agenda is as follows:
Year-in-review: MABRA Board Members, officials, and race promoters will review the past year and outline their successes, challenges, and plans for 2026.
Annual election: Member clubs will vote to elect two members for the MABRA Board.
Race director break out session: Directors for road and CX will discuss their 2026 calendars and designate the 2026 championship and series events.
If there are other agenda items you’d like to cover, please contact Paul Lengermann (president) and Craig Etheridge (vice president) and we’ll absolutely consider it. Hope to see you there!
MABRA elections: Four of the seven director positions on the Board are up for election in 2026. Please consider putting yourself forward for nomination and contributing to the success of the MABRA community. Stacie Kemp, who has stepped down from her member-at-large Board position, has kindly agreed to serve as Election Official to oversee the elections. Nominations are currently open for the following positions and will close on Friday, December 19, 2025:
Two directors will be elected by member clubs at the annual meeting:
Paul Lengermann’s current term is expiring and he is seeking re-election. Craig Etheridge’s current term as Rider’s Representative is expiring and he is seeking election to this director role.
Any other interested candidates must be nominated by a member club or by the current board of directors.
Rider’s Representative: This director advocates for the interests of all MABRA riders. They will be elected by vote of all MABRA riders with an active USAC license.
Women's representative: This director advocates for the interests of all MABRA women. They are elected by vote of MABRA female riders with an active USAC license. KJ Phillips is the outgoing women’s rep and is seeking re-election.
Nominations for Rider’s and Women’s representative must be made by a member club, by the current board of directors, or by any 3 individuals eligible to vote for the specified position. Elections for these two positions will be conducted electronically after the nomination period closes and ahead of the annual meeting.
To learn more about any of these positions, please reach out to any MABRA Board Member. Nominations must be provided to Stacie Kemp by Dec. 19, copying Paul Lengermann and Craig Etheridge.

Call for Volunteers: MABRA is seeking volunteers for the following two positions:
Social media coordinator: This is a new position aimed at better promoting MABRA events and race series, highlighting the successes of riders and clubs, and improving awareness of all things MABRA through our social media channels.
Road coordinator: We are looking for someone familiar with the MABRA road scene to take over from Sunny Gill in 2026. The road coordinator works with race directors, clubs, and officials to set the racing calendar each year, designate championship events, and coordinate the Road Series.
Volunteering is a great opportunity to give back to the MABRA community and work with the Board, member clubs, officials, and race directors. If interested, please reach out to Paul Lengermann, Craig Etheridge, and Sunny Gill to learn more.
