MABRAcross for 2010 is turning it up to 11. Eleven races, that is. With three new venues joining the ranks, the Mid-Atlantic Bicycle Racing Association’s cyclocross series, MABRAcross, will have ‘crossers toeing the line on almost every weekend from September through November.

Following the hard day of racing Saturday at Howard County Double Cross in Schooley Mill Cross, racers returned for the third edition of Rockburn Cross with continued mild weather but soggy terrain in Elkridge, MD.

The 7th race in the BikeReg.com MABRAcross series, hosted by Team BBC, was contested in crisp and clear weather, which made for some very fast racing. Despite some soggy sections on the back side of the course, courtesy of the heavy rains the area had late in the week, the undulating slalom style course favored those who could generate a steady amount of wattage.

The Wayne Scott Memorial Xross @ Fair Hill will be the first MAC race of the year where the Elite races will be sanctioned by USA Cycling, rather than UCI.
